Who can play paintball?
Paintball Clothing/ Protection
Paintball Equipment

At Maximum Paintball TheField, players must be at least 10 years old and in fair physical condition.  A parent or guardian must sign a waiver for anyone under 18 years of age.
Paintballs are expelled out of the paintguns at approx. 200 miles per hour and can certainly leave a mark on the player's skin.  Players must be able to understand our basic safety rules.

What should you wear?
Paintballs can stain and cause rips so choose your clothing wisely.  We recommend wearing clothes that are oversized and covers arms and legs.  No sandals or open toed shoes are allowed and players are required to wear pants (no shorts).  Protective gear, although not required, is offered at Maximum Paintball Supply and consists of neck protectors, gloves, chest protectors, knee pads, and elbow pads.  Gentlemen should consider wearing an athletic supporter.

The sport requires very specific equipment;  goggles, paintguns, pressurized gas, and paintballs.  Our store,  Maximum Paintball Supply on Blackstone Ave. is your local connection for everything paintball!

If you normally shop at Walmart or online - please reconsider and visit Maximum Paintball.  Trust us!  We've been at the same location for over 15 years, our prices are the same as the internet, we have well trained employees who are knowledgeable and friendly, and we are locally owned.  Your money stays in Fresno which supports Maximum Paintball TheField and the 12 employees we staff!

Paintball is a combination of the childhood games "tag" and "hide and seek" but is much more challenging and sophisticated.  The basic concept involves the creation of two teams and the goal of eliminating team members by 'marking' them with paint pellets.  Paintball can be played indoors or out, with as few as 2 people or 500 people (the largest paintball game on record involved over 4000 players!), a game can last 5 minutes or an entire weekend.  It's objective might be to take something, bring something, find something, or to simply be the last person standing.  Depending on the type of field you play, the tactics can vary as well - from being quiet and sneaky and picking your shots carefully, to being loud, fast, and shooting constantly.
